Role: SQL Analyst
Reporting To: Senior Manager, Analytics
DottedLine Support: Manager, Analytics (Retail, Brand & Affiliates)
Location: US (Hybrid/Remote as applicable)

Role Overview

We are seeking a SQL Analyst to support scalable analytics execution across Marketing and enterprise reporting. This role is responsible for data extraction, transformation, and reporting enablement, partnering closely with analytics leadership to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across dashboards and recurring analyses.

While the SQL Analyst reports directly to the Senior Manager, they will support analytics work across both seniorled enterprise initiatives and managerled channel analytics, operating within a clearly prioritized and structured intake model.

This is an executionfocused role designed to reduce manual reporting burden on senior analytics resources, while enabling faster, more reliable access to data across DTC, CRM, Retail, Brand, Affiliate, and Financeadjacent use cases.

 

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Reporting Enablement

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, join, and transform data from the enterprise data warehouse and downstream sources
  • Build and maintain Power BI datasets, views, and recurring reports used across Marketing and enterprise stakeholders
  • Support standardized dashboards for:
    • DTC and CRM analytics
    • Retail, Brand, and Affiliate performance
    • Enterprise and Financeadjacent reporting needs

Analytics Execution Support

  • Provide data pulls, QA, and validation to support:
    • Seniorled enterprise, customer cluster, and Financesupport analyses
    • Managerled channel analytics for Retail, Brand, and Affiliates
  • Execute reporting and analysis requests routed through analytics leadership, ensuring alignment with defined priorities
  • Support CRM and DTC analytics execution (email engagement, campaign performance, website testing data) under senior guidance

Data Quality & Documentation

  • Perform routine data quality checks and identify anomalies or inconsistencies
  • Document datasets, metric definitions, and reporting logic to support scalability and selfservice
  • Maintain shared tables and views leveraged across Analytics and Finance teams

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager and Manager to deliver consistent, trusted analytics outputs
  • Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Data Engineering teams to ensure reporting solutions meet business needs
  • Able to translate analytical findings into clear, actionable next steps for non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable presenting analyses and communicating insights to stakeholders with varying levels of technical fluency
  • Support alignment across teams by using standardized definitions and approved data sources

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in analytics, BI, or data analyst role
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced SQL proficiency (complex joins, aggregations, window functions), with BigQuery preferred
  • Handson experience building or supporting dashboards in Power BI (or similar BI tools)
  • Experience working with large, relational datasets in a data warehouse environment
  • Strong attention to detail and data validation discipline

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and exploratory analytics
  • Familiarity with machine learning models and their application within business and performance measurement contexts
  • Demonstrated experience applying statistical concepts in performance measurement, including randomized controlled trials, hypothesis testing and power analyses
  • Experience supporting Marketing, CRM, or DTC analytics (email, lifecycle, web, campaign performance)
  • Familiarity with customerlevel data, cohorts, and segmentation concepts
  • Experience partnering with Finance or FP&A teams on data validation
  • Exposure to ETL tools or analytics engineering frameworks (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Fivetran)
Salary Range: $65,600 - $105,000 
  
The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, to geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Rodan + Fields’ total compensation package for employees.
