Sr Advanced Analytics Planner
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Demand Planning
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Senior Advanced Analytics Planner serves as a pivotal driver of strategic insights within our Supply Chain Planning team. This role will conduct advanced analytics including identifying demand patterns, promotion analysis, customer preferences, and market trends, to provide actionable insights to business partners and leadership as well as simplifying exception management in forecasting and inventory management. Utilizing SQL for robust data mining and analysis, the individual will design KPI reporting and dashboards to support data-driven business decisions. This role will also manage the demand forecasting models and collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand and reflect key drivers in the demand plan, including enrollment and population trends, commercial activities, and new product launches.  There will be some collaboration with Technology and BI teams to improve forecast accessibility for cross functional partners as well.
The Supply Chain Advanced Analytics Planner will serve as a thought leader in enhancing the monthly S&OP process and analytical tools. The ideal candidate has a growth mindset, can toggle between detailed execution and high-level analysis and is comfortable communicating up, down and across the organization. This role requires the ability to critically think through plans and develop recommendations to achieve desired outcomes and KPIs.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct advanced analytics to drive strategic insights and decision-making, identify demand patterns, customer preferences, and market trends, and provide actionable recommendations to drive business discussions.
  • Utilize SQL for data mining and analysis and create interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools that simplify decision making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand business strategies and demand drivers in commercial activities.  Translate the qualitative and quantitative inputs into a strategic demand forecast.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and develop scenario plans to project risk to liability and service levels to make recommendations on operational business decisions. Report out to cross-functional stakeholders on key takeaways and actions needed.
  • Optimize forecasting models in Logility Demand Optimization tool for demand planning and inventory management.
  • Evaluate historical sales trends and demand patterns and develop statistical forecast models to create a bottoms up monthly forecast that reconciles to top line targets.
 
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, CHARACTERISTICS:
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and analytical skillset and mindset; Energized by thinking through and solving complex challenges.
  • 5+ years of experience extracting, analyzing data using SQL and working with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • 2+ years of Forecasting and/or Supply Chain Planning experience with strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain; Experience in beauty, CPG or regulated industries a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Supply Chain or science related fields required.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience with SAP ECC or other Supply Chain ERP System (power user experience a plus).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Query and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapid growth and evolving business environment.
