Childcare Prep Cook
Description
Alphabet Academy North in Hamden, Connecticut is seeking a part-time prep cook for its progressive food program. We serve children (infants through kindergarten) mostly organic, local and whole food daily, Monday through Friday.
What you will do:
- work alongside our Chef
- daily prep of snacks and lunches for 3 schools
- communicate clearly, professionally and effectively
- promote and contribute to a positive team environment
What you need:
- at least 1 year of prior kitchen experience
- energetic demeanor, team player
- strong work ethic and integrity
- strong knife skills
- basic baking experience
- Serve safe certification a plus

Required shift: On-site, daytime shift Monday through Friday
Compensation: $18.00-$19.00 per hour, based on education and experience
