Position Summary:
Plan, develop, and oversee project controls functions for designated construction and manufacturing projects or programs. Responsible for establishing and maintaining cost control systems, project scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and performance analytics to ensure projects are executed in alignment with budget, schedule, and company objectives. Provide independent visibility into project performance, identify risks and trends, and support project leadership in making informed, data-driven decisions. Perform duties directly or through project controls staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to Project Managers and leadership on cost, schedule, and risk performance.
- Analyze labor productivity, material costs, and subcontract performance trends.
- Oversee development and maintenance of integrated project schedules (Primavera P6 or equivalent).
- Validate schedule logic, durations, resource loading, and critical path.
- Monitor schedule performance, progress updates, and delays.
- Support pricing validation and ensure alignment between cost and schedule impacts.
- Develop and deliver standardized project controls reports and dashboards.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely reporting.
- Identify, assess, and track project risks and opportunities.
- Maintain data integrity across cost, schedule, and reporting platforms.
- Work closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, and field leadership to align reporting with actual project conditions.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Expert in project controls discipline, typically with 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience.

- Influences executive decision-making through analysis and reporting.
- Plays a key role in business planning, forecasting, and operational strategy.
- Provides authoritative recommendations impacting cost, schedule, and risk outcomes.
- Demonstrates high-level analytical capability, judgment, and foresight.
- Leads and mentors project controls professionals and influences cross-functional teams.
Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability:
- Frequent and prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking within the facility.
- Must be able to hear and communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and in virtual settings.
- Manual dexterity is required to operate computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment.
- Close vision is necessary for reading, computer use, and performing detailed tasks.
- Occasional reaching, bending, stooping, or kneeling may be required.
- Noise levels are typically low to moderate but may vary, particularly for roles that involve time in field or shop environments.
- Possible exposure to typical manufacturing-related hazards in certain job locations.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Consistent, punctual attendance during core business hours is essential.
- This position is primarily office-based and located in the Denver Metro Area. Reliable transportation is required for commuting and occasional travel between local corporate offices and job sites during business hours.
