Project Superintendent – Mechanical Construction
Phoenix, Arizona
$97,000–$120,000 + Annual Incentive Bonus Eligibility
Lead the Field. Build What Matters. Develop Who’s Next.
The best Project Superintendents don’t just manage work in the field. They build strong teams, solve problems before they become delays, and create the jobsite culture that determines whether a project succeeds.
At RK Industries, you will lead the day-to-day execution of complex mechanical construction projects across plumbing, piping, and sheet metal scopes. From mobilization through closeout, you’ll set the pace for safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance—while developing the Foremen, craft professionals, and future leaders who make the work happen.
You’ll work closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades to keep field operations coordinated and moving forward. Your technical judgment, ability to plan ahead, and hands-on leadership will ensure mechanical systems are installed safely, correctly, and in alignment with the project’s design intent, code requirements, and customer expectations.
And you won’t build alone. RK’s in-house fabrication, manufacturing, construction, and building services capabilities give our field leaders resources that many contractors simply don’t have.
This is an opportunity to lead meaningful, complex work—and leave a legacy through the people and projects you develop.
What You’ll Lead
Own onsite execution of the mechanical contract scope, including plumbing, piping, and sheet metal work.
Lead and coordinate RK field crews, Foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to maintain safe, productive jobsite operations.
Drive project safety compliance; partner with RK Safety Managers, document corrective actions, and ensure issues are addressed promptly.
Build and maintain a practical “master plan” for field execution, sequencing work to support schedule, labor, material, and equipment needs.
Schedule and coordinate daily and weekly work activities to keep crews aligned with project milestones and commitments.
Provide trade-specific expertise and field input to the General Contractor and project team during development and maintenance of the project schedule.
Monitor field progress, productivity, workmanship, labor hours, job costs, and quality; identify risks early and implement solutions.
Review Labor Hours/Job Cost reports with Project Management on a weekly basis and adjust field plans as needed.
Support schedule preparation and updates, including sequencing, logic, resource planning, and budget allocation.
Ensure quality craftsmanship across mechanical systems and verify installations meet design intent, applicable codes, and RK standards.
Coordinate required jurisdictional inspections and maintain productive working relationships with inspectors.
Resolve field conflicts quickly and professionally while maintaining strong relationships with customers, trade partners, and internal teams.
Maintain complete, accurate project documentation in accordance with RK systems and standards.
