Position Summary
Oversee all aspects of yard material organization, storage, inventories, back orders and returns to vendors in accordance with all established policies and procedures of RK Industries, Inc. Direct and administer material management functions, inventory and warehouse stock control. Coordinate material returns, secure and organize materials to prevent loss and spoil.
Role Responsibilities
- Perform duties in accordance with company standard policies and procedures.
- Inventory and storage of purchased incoming goods for correct quantities.
- Inventory and disposition of return goods from field operations.
- Coordinate all back orders with purchasing and shops.
- Maintain yard organization.
- Coordinate work and communications between departments as necessary.
- Assist Purchasing agents as necessary to address, resolve and settle issues as necessary.
- Keep Purchasing and Operations informed of any major developments, good or bad, on each project.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with all customers, external and internal.
- Implement and effective and efficient Inventory Control process to be utilized.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Supervisory experience overseeing crews of 10+ employees
- Indirect supervision.
- Fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area.
- Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standards.
- Devises new solutions to problems encountered.
- Independently performs most assignments with instruction
- Receives guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards.
- College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.
Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability
- Ability to lift and carry 36 to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or 22 to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 11 to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to climb up and down and maintain balance on stairs, ladders and scaffolds while carrying tools and equipment.
- Ability to see (naturally or with correction).
- Ability to use arms and hands to reach, handle or manipulate and install heavy objects and materials.
- Ability to balance, kneel, squat, crouch, bend, lean, stand, walk, climb, dig, backfill and compact.
