Bring your skills to the field and take pride in every weld. RK Mechanical is hiring Field Welders to help build mechanical piping systems for commercial and industrial projects. If you work safely, know what quality looks like, and can deliver a sound, clean weld, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll do

• Weld pipe using SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG), as qualified and required by the project.

• Produce complete, sound welds that meet quality standards and have a clean finish.

• Support mechanical system installations and identify work that may fall short of plans, specifications, or code requirements.

• Plan daily and weekly work, coordinate with the crew, and request the materials, tools, and equipment needed to keep work moving.

• Meet production goals while maintaining safe, high-quality workmanship.

• Maintain the personal hand tools needed for your assigned work.

What you bring

• Field welding experience and knowledge of pipefitting practices, materials, and tools.

• The ability to follow established procedures, solve problems, and communicate when something needs attention.

• A commitment to safety, quality, and helping your crew succeed.

Field Welder 1 and Field Welder 2 assignments depend on your skills, experience, and level of responsibility. Field Welder 1 may provide crew guidance and work with more independence; Field Welder 2 works with closer supervision.

Safety comes first at RK. Every employee has the authority to stop work when an unsafe condition is present. This role may involve working indoors or outdoors, in varied weather, at heights or in confined spaces. It requires climbing, balancing, squatting, kneeling, and crouching, as well as occasional lifting and carrying of 51–75 pounds.
