In this position the ideal candidate will be tasked with shipping and receiving duties, including unloading commercial WAPA trucks, performing receipt of items at the warehouse, and preparing goods and appropriate shipping documents for shipping from the Phoenix, AZ warehouse to various DSW/WAPA locations.
- Receiving:
- During warehouse hours, safely unload commercial and WAPA trucks; perform receipt of items at the warehouse to include inspections of items received; Assist Federal warehouse staff of documenting actual receipt date, condition of received items or materials and quantity verification and to compare received item(s) to purchasing documents.
- Notify Procurement and/or appropriate customers of identified discrepancies; help to resolve all discrepancies.
- Mark/barcode warehouse stock, when required, pickup and place stock items in the appropriate level/location of storage; document all receipts in non-automated systems; coordinate with the PMO/Inventory Management Specialist as required when items are received to verify if items are stock items, sensitive/controlled items, or non-warehouse stock items for disposition.
- Shipping:
- Prepare goods/materials and appropriate shipping documents for shipments from Phoenix, AZ warehouse to other DSW/WAPA locations as required within all applicable DOE and commercial standard shipping standards/practices
- Follow up on all shipments as necessary. This may include, but is not limited to, weighing, crating, palletizing, shrink wrapping, and loading materials in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and regulations.
- Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring proper shipping labels and shipping manifests are accurate and will coordinate pick-up of items with commercial transportation vendors.
- Assist in the set up main conference room tables, chair, and equipment.
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Security clearance
- Ability to work provided hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Monday - Friday
