• Lead our India-based front-end development efforts using modern frameworks, tooling, and test-driven development (TDD) techniques.
• Provide management and technical oversight of 2 other junior front-end developers (to be hired after your hire) for growing SaaS platform business.
• Lead efforts for continuous improvement of our front-end UI features and quality, integration of modern testing front-end testing tools (through TDD), and integration with our internal CI/CD practice.
• Lead strategic design improvements to our front-end UI that help our users better navigate the system and help them understand the full functionality and value of embedded use cases.
• Provide leadership to drive culture of best practices and client-first mentality and apply it to front-end UI changes for UI consistency, UI simplification, and UI performance.
• Provide regular weekly and daily communication with US-based executive team including status updates and systemized monitoring and progress reporting.

• Responsible for technical delivery of the UI, with use cases from US-based business product team, on JIRA tickets related to front-end web application design/development/integration with data layer, and end-to-end testing.
• Responsible for delivering quality, well-tested, front-end new features and quality improvements.

• Work closely with KGP General Manager to determine budget, retention, and resource management.
• Work with US-based management team to recruit and hire all India-based technical platform personnel hires.  

• 3+ years of delivering front-end web applications for a financial services or financial analytics/data software firm. 
• Strong communicator and manager.
• Experience leading a team of 1 to 2 other junior developers.  

• Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology Degree.
• Expertise in front-end web development best practices, specific front-end frameworks named below, and test-driven development (TDD) techniques.

• 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying front-end web-applications on modern frameworks including the web-development lifecycle, integration with data layer and end-to-end performance tuning.
• Experience with improving user navigation and integration and performance of embedded data charting and analysis graphics with popular data visualization tools.
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript and web development frameworks such as Agular/React/Vue, jQuery
• Styling using CSS/Bootstrap/JSF.
• Experience developing web applications using Java, JSF, Jakarta, and Spring.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with RESTful API's and integrating with microservices.
• Proficiency using front-end unit testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).
• Proficiency using Selenium for regression testing.
• Experience with Linux and AWS.
• In-depth understanding of software development, software control, and quality deployment.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills. 

• Must be within commuting distance to physical office in the Chennai metro area to lead and coach individual team members, have regular company meetings, contribute to and lead the management culture.
• Three (3) days a week in the office.
