As our Conversions Senior Supervisor, you will oversee and manage the effective conversion of event spaces for a variety of functions, ensuring that high operational standards are maintained throughout the process. You will support the maintenance and operation of facility equipment, promptly solving any issues that arise to minimize disruptions to operations. Demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills, you will coordinate closely with your team and collaborate with the Conversions Manager to maintain conversion timelines, set goals, ensure quality assurance, and provide safety training to crews.

 

 

DAY-TO-DAY: 

  • Oversee and manage the effective conversion of event spaces for various functions.
  • Maintain high operational standards while performing conversions.
  • Support the maintenance and operation of facility equipment.
  • Solve problems promptly and accurately, ensuring minimum disruption to operations.
  • Demonstrate leadership and organizational acumen, effectively coordinating with the team.
  • In collaboration with the Conversions Manager, maintain conversion timelines, goals, quality-assurance, and safety training of crews.
  • Assisting with recruitment, training, scheduling, payroll and supervision of all personnel disciplinary actions.
  • Confirms event information from Event Management and Productions and directs department accordingly.
  • Helping maintain proper storage of Conversion tools and supplies as needed.
  • Works closely with the Facility operations department to maintain equipment and ensure it’s in excellent working order.
  • Working with the Conversions Manager to procure any necessary equipment for the Conversions Department.
  • Locating and correcting any problems that could place the building in violation of fire and/or safety codes.
  • Assisting the Conversions Manager in the preparation of the monthly Conversion work calendar for cross-departmental use.
  • Coordinating with other departments and contractors on event and non-event days as needed.
  • Work closely with the conversion day and event shifts to ensure seamless interactions between crews
  • Driving, operating and maintenance of forklift and scissor lift

 

WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

  • Have at least 3 years of maintenance experience
  • Can work overnight shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Have forklift and scissor lift operator experience or are willing to be forklift certified.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions quickly.
  • Are organized and able to multitask while managing multiple types and sizes of events.
  • Have a calm and professional demeanor, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Are experienced in Microsoft Office software.
  • Are a strong leader, whether during busy or slow periods.
  • Have strong organizational skills.
  • Can understand and overcome challenges that may arise during and outside of events.

WE’D BE THRILLED IF YOU ALSO HAVE:

  • 1-2 years of leadership experience in a similar position.
  • Maintenance experience on large heavy equipment.
