As our Audio/Visual (AV) Technician, you play a critical role focused on providing audio, visual, signage, cable and television support to the Trail Blazers organization, Rose Quarter facilities, and external meetings.

DAY-TO-DAY: 

  • Set up, monitor, and load-out AV equipment for Trail Blazers organizational events, meetings, presentations, and various on-campus functions.     
  • Manage and maintain conferencing equipment in the front offices and practice facility conference rooms to support the organization's hybrid conferencing policy. 
  • Instruct internal staff in the proper usage and operation of audio-visual equipment, including conducting in-person trainings, creating organizational standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting issues during meetings.
  • Support the installation, repair, and maintenance of in-house AV systems.
  • Monitor the shared inbox and communicate with internal team about the daily needs of the department, escalating issues when appropriate.  
  • Provide support for Trail Blazers home games, including maintaining and troubleshooting AV systems and concourse displays around the facility. 

WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Demonstrated experience in corporate A/V, live production audio, or relevant fields.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electronic devices. 
  • Efficient and thorough knowledge of audio-video equipment repair. 
  • Experience with live audio production (e.g. press conferences, Q&As, meet and greets) 
  • Knowledge of audio-visual equipment (e.g. Digital and analog sound boards, microphone systems, amplifiers, subwoofers, projectors, TVs, IPTV, cable systems, etc.)
  • Ability to work varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays in addition to being comfortable with heights.  
  • Experience creating or developing process documentation
  • Experience working with IT, Broadcasting and Production teams is preferred. 
  • Experience with set-up and support of large events in indoor facilities is preferred.
