As our Supervising Electrician you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical projects, ensuring strict adherence to Oregon electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Responsibilities include reviewing plans, conducting inspections, and ensuring efficient testing and maintenance of equipment and systems for optimal performance and safety.

 

DAY-TO-DAY: 

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical projects, including installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Oregon electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to engineering department electricians, including training, and mentoring.
  • Manage/diagnose/operate all lighting controls for entire campus including exterior and parking garages.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Support the successful completion of 40+ NBA Games, 80 major music/entertainment events, and 25+ private events each year.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets company standards.
  • Install and tear down portable power systems and other event-related power needs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address issues and ensure project success.
  • Manage work requests and preventative maintenance requirements through an online work order system, including and verifying the completion of all service calls.
  • Promote a safe working environment for all employees by following the life safety and emergency program as needed.
  • All responsibilities are for the Moda Center, Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Annex Office Building

 

WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • A valid Oregon General Supervising Electrician License.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in the electrical industry, preferably with supervisory experience.
  • In-depth familiarity with Oregon electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in handling electrical components, lighting systems (especially Lutron), tools, test instruments, and following correct procedures for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Capability to work comfortably at heights of up to 125 ft. and ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong aptitude for working both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
  • Track record of successfully managing multiple projects concurrently while effectively prioritizing tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a dedication to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate event schedules and maintenance needs.

  • Prior supervisory experience in the electrical industry.
  • Additional certifications or specialized training related to electrical work.
  • Experience working with a variety of lighting systems beyond Lutron.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and learning within the electrical field.
