As our Swing Shift Facility Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable environment for employees and guests. You are directly responsible for managing agents on swing shift and ensuring that they have appropriate knowledge and tools through training and mentoring. You are also responsible for providing protection for the Rose Quarter Campus, employees, and property through patrolling and active monitoring of alarm systems, CCTV, and access control systems.  

SCHEDULE: Full-time security agents work 5 (8-hour) shifts a week, hours for these roles are Swing Shift (2 PM - 10 PM)

 

DAY-TO-DAY: 

  • Training, motivating, and managing Facility Security team members on duty to ensure consistent performance and professionalism.
  • Conduct regular staff check-ins and performance evaluations, ensure expectations are met, and provide verbal or written performance documentation as needed.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new Security Agents.
  • Coordinating with the Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire Bureau incident response
  • Observe, report, manage, and document incidents in accordance with company protocols.
  • Monitor, operate, and maintain security and life safety systems to ensure operational readiness.
  • Auditing 24/7 QR Patrol System.
  • Routinely monitor and log the status of equipment and programs such as keys, radios, cameras, and company electronic devices (i.e. phones and tablets).
  • Ensuring accurate completion of Workers' Compensation (801) packets and assisting with reasonable suspicion of employee incidents
  • Identifying and reporting safety issues and vital maintenance or repairs
  • Monitor storage and condition of Evolv and Magnetometers; report maintenance or operational issues.
  • Patrol facilities on foot and by vehicle to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Ensure proper incident documentation and escalate emergencies when appropriate.
  • Provide guidance to Security Agents during critical incidents and assist guests as needed.
  • Supervise lost & found operations with clear documentation and resolution.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations as part of shift responsibilities to ensure accuracy and security.
  • Process payroll and maintain schedules for direct reports.
  • Fill out and distribute daily logs for the shift. 
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture in alignment with organizational values.

 

WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Are certified with the current Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, DPSST.
  • Are able to work swing shift hours (2 PM  10 PM)
  • Have supervision experience in a security setting, preferred.
  • Able to walk, move, and bend freely due to the emergency nature of the position
  • Can patrol regularly and walk throughout the campus
  • Have the ability to lead a team and provide mentorship and support to staff
  • Can assess the needs of the team on a regular basis
  • Communicate to Security leadership team for safety conditions, needs of the team, and escalation of issues
  • Perform in high-stress and fast-paced environment in an expedient manner for sustained periods, may perform tasks in front of the public.
