Job Description:

 

Key member of the customer facing sales team having primary responsibility to lead a team of up to 10 remote pre-sales engineering resources for all RingCentral products and services. This role will interact directly with all levels of management on customer accounts. The SalesEngineering Manager at RingCentral requires excellent communication, organizational and technical skills to lead a team of pre-sales Engineers assessing customer requirements, hosting discovery sessions, presenting demonstrations of RingCentral’s technologies, and addressing technical objections. You will partner with our Innovation team to drive solution innovation throughout our solution suite.  As a leader in the organization, you will also work to ensure the constant advancement of the Solutions Engineers skills and knowledge to effectively compete in a global marketplace.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Hire and Lead a world-class team focused on delivering a unique, differentiated customer experience

Partner with the team to evaluate new technical solutions to meet or exceed prospect and customer requirements

Build development plans for team members to ensure successful onboarding and continuing education of the team

Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities

Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while working with cross functional teams

Balance the workload of the Sales Engineering team in concert with input from the Account Executives and Regional Sales Leaders

Transfer industry, technical and product knowledge to Sales Engineers, and in turn to prospects and customers

Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services

Support and participate with the Sales Engineers in performing advanced technical presentations for customers and prospects, remotely and in-person

Develop and maintain expert understanding of all RingCentral applications and products

Represent RingCentral at industry conferences and sales events

Actively participate as an SME for RingCentral products and technologies and provide consultative support through leadership of your SalesEngineers

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

5+ years of experience serving in the capacity of a Technical Sales Engineer in a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment, or equivalent, relevant experience

3+ years of management experience in similar industries leading geographically diverse teams

Proven ability to provide technical leadership to the account team and engineers

Ability to teach other members of the team and effectively manage a team of highly skilled Sales Engineers

Must be able to coordinate across various groups and functional teams

Ability to apply solutions, technology and products to a business opportunity

Ability to travel regularly throughout assigned region

Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Voice, Video, Mobile Communications

Knowledge of VoIP and data networking protocols

Understanding of customer communications requirements for enterprise-class business markets

Competitive knowledge including solution, technology and product offerings

Demonstrates the ability to excel at understanding and communicating complex technical solutions and issues

Some understanding of software development technologies is desirable

Some experience with project management and resource tracking desired

Demonstrated ability to implement, drive and track projects
