Shopify Frontend Contractor
Description
This role is part of Genpact’s Experience team, the capability focused on designing and improving the platforms, interactions, and journeys employees and customers use every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify themes and apps.
- Modify and customize existing Shopify themes according to project requirements.
- Integrate third-party APIs and Shopify apps as needed.
- Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and SEO.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and back-end developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and test new features to enhance user experience.
- Stay updated with Shopify updates, best practices, and new technologies.
Requirements:-
- Strong knowledge of Shopify’s Liquid templating language.
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer (5+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Familiarity with Shopify Plus (preferred, not mandatory).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party app integrations.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and site performance optimization.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git).
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with headless commerce using Shopify (e.g., Hydrogen/Storefront API).
- Familiarity with React, Node.js, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD).
