Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant-1
Introduction
We are seeking a detailed oriented Senior Staff Accountant-1 to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards including assistance to payroll team for monthly payroll. What You’ll Be Doing and the Impact You’ll Make:
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date monthly financial records. Ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and accounting principles.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries and the review of financial statements.
- Prepare and analyze various financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Experience in Accounting, Taxation, GST, Income Tax Act 1961, Companies Act 2013, Softex Filings, Treasury Operation, and Assistance in Payroll Functions. Perform GST, TDS and Revenue reconciliation.
- Ability to support financial governance framework and ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
- Ability to collaborate with US-based teams and manage remote communication effectively.
- Experience in handling intercompany transactions and basic understanding of transfer pricing concepts.
- Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting the audit process.
- Provide support to the accounting team on special projects and other tasks as needed.
What We’d Love to See:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Tally and in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Experience with accounting or tax software (e.g., NetSuite, CompuTax) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Experience with financial statement preparation and reconciliations.
- Experience with tax preparation or auditing is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
