Role - Lead Developer - (Nextjs & Headless CMS)
Location – Bengaluru/Jaipur

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Next.js Lead who can build modern, scalable web experiences and guide a small team. This role is ideal for someone who is strong in Next.js and React and can comfortably work on headless CMS platforms such as Prismic. You do not need to be a pure architect, but you should be able to make sound technical decisions, support delivery, and mentor developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain frontend applications using Next.js and React.
  • Work with headless CMS platforms such as Prismic to manage, structure, and render content.
  • Create reusable components and scalable frontend architecture patterns.
  • Implement SSR, SSG, ISR, and other rendering strategies based on project needs.
  • Ensure websites are fast, SEO-friendly, accessible, and user-friendly.
  • Integrate APIs, analytics tools, and third-party services as needed.
  • Review code, enforce development standards, and support best practices across the team.
  • Lead and mentor developers, helping them solve technical issues and improve delivery quality.
  • Work closely with designers, project managers, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Regularly meet directly with client stakeholders to discuss requirements, provide updates, and communicate effectively with non-technical audiences.
  • Support estimation, sprint planning, technical discovery, and solution design for new features.
  • Work directly with QA engineers to support test scenarios and ensure quality delivery.
  • Break down requirements into technical tasks and workplan development tickets.
  • Apply strong debugging skills to identify and fix production issues.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation including onboarding guides, READMEs, coding standards, and architecture diagrams.
  • Define and refine processes such as code reviews, deployment strategies, release strategies, ticket workflows, and QA processes.
  • Analyze legacy codebases to improve performance, upgrade dependencies, and reduce duplication.
  • Introduce and maintain automated browser tests using Playwright.
  • Introduce and maintain unit tests using Vitest.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack web development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js.
  • Good understanding of SSR, SSG, ISR, routing, and performance optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Experience working with headless CMS platforms such as Prismic, Contentful, Sanity, or similar.
  • Ability to build clean, reusable, and scalable frontend components.
  • Good understanding of SEO basics, web performance, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD basics.
  • Experience leading or mentoring developers in a delivery-focused environment.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Prismic CMS.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Vercel, or modern hosting platforms.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
  • Agency or consulting experience.
  • Exposure to A/B testing, CRO, or marketing website delivery.
  • Experience working on websites with ecommerce functionality.

A strong Next.js Lead who is comfortable with headless CMS platforms, can guide a team, drive delivery, collaborate with stakeholders, and remain hands-on in building scalable frontend solutions.
