Lead the Charge at UTA as Our Payroll Manager!

As the Payroll Manager, you'll take the reins of complex payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency for a vibrant and diverse workforce. As the Payroll Manager, you will:
  • Supervise the preparation and processing of payroll documents.
  • Perform advanced professional duties related to payroll accounting.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and tax documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare routine to complex reports and analyses as required.
  • Prepare and file federal and state payroll tax forms.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and other requirements as directed.
  • Manage assigned payroll staff by developing goals, monitoring progress, and evaluating performance.
 
This position is a hybrid-remote position in Utah. Must be able to come into the UTA FrontLines Headquarters in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. 
  
During training, you will be required to work 5 days a week from the office. After training, your schedule can shift to a hybrid schedule of 5 days a week, with at least 3 of those days in the office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:   
  • Six years payroll experience applying knowledge of proper payroll procedures, including three years in a lead role.
  • Bachelor’s degree (In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of payroll experience will be considered)
 
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Knowledge of specific laws, ordinances, and regulations governing financial reporting required.
  • Certified Payroll Professional CPP preferred.
  • Knowledge of Oracle JD Edwards accounting software preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll accounting preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workday payroll preferred.
  • Basic typing skills and knowledge of personal computer operation, including advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Pay Range: $90,900.00 or more, depending on experience
