Journeyist (Central/Depot)
Description
Job Summary
Responsible for making complex repairs on coaches, rebuilding components, training other employees in new skills, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Completion of a bona fide apprenticeship program as a Transit Bus Repairer (Mechanics CURRENTLY classified as Transit Bus Journeyists and Master Journeyists are eligible).
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Successfully pass standardized tests administered by the Authority.
Successfully pass a mechanical and electrical aptitude tests administered by the Authority.
Must have own tools.
Able to pass DOT physical.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Utah Class ‘B’ CDL and passenger endorsement.
Have no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
Have no convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.
Must be or be able to become Fork Lift Certified.
This job requires regular and predictable attendance.

Shift: 5:00pm - 2:00am Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00am Saturday & Sunday, 5:00pm - 2:00am Monday and Tuesday with Wednesday/Thursday off *

Pay Rate: $36.82 per hour
