Manager of Light Rail Operations
Description
The Manager of Light Rail Operations will report to the Director Rail Operations and will: lead, develop, and manage a diverse team of Light Rail Operations experts. Develop and continuously improve positive employee and customer relationships using UTA way principles. Leads and participates with peers and other leaders within service unit in cultural transformation, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. Identifies and addresses critical issues and opportunities for individual and department growth. Develops and improves processes and procedures ensuring delivery of service that is extremely safe, reliable, and efficient with customer service at the forefront. Provides leadership, support, and guidelines ensuring a positive and professional image throughout the service unit, the enterprise, and the community. Build relationships and interact with all internal departments and support teams regarding service delivery and personnel. Develop strategic recommendations to executives and management on how to optimize short and long-term growth. Understands state and federal oversight agencies to ensure regulatory compliance. Develops and manages operations department budget.
- Five years as supervisor or manager with a demonstrated abilities in managing diverse teams.
- Experience in working with a unionized workforce in a collaborative atmosphere preferred.
- Rail transit experience and knowledge a plus.
