Description

Job Summary

As a member of the Road Crew, you will maintain system wide passenger Facilities.  This includes maintaining:  bus stops; bus shelters w/garbage cans; train stations; park and ride lots; rest rooms; and transportation hubs.  This position is also responsible for the removal of snow and ice on passenger facilities.  In this capacity you will operate and maintain:  various snow removal equipment; large dump trucks and trailers; various steam/high pressure equipment; street sweepers/scrubbers; grounds keeping equipment; and sign post installation equipment.  You will also be assigned various light maintenance tasks and be required to clean up bio hazards.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.


EXPERIENCE

  • Must have at least one year of verifiable experience in any applicable maintenance repair field or heavy equipment operation.

     Required:

    • Demonstrated abilities with the use and function of hand tools and sign post installation equipment.
    • Able to pass required DOT physical and obtain a DOT card.
    • Must have a valid Class A CDL.
    • Be a safe driver with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
    • Have no convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or any drugs within the past 10 years.
    • Be able to pass all required safety courses applicable to Facilities Maintenance which includes Fork Lift Certification.
    • Be able to pass the Facilities MET test.
    • Must be able to work some overtime and holidays as needed.
    • Must be proficient at a basic level in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

     This job requires regular and predictable attendance.

Shift:  2:00 AM to 10:30 AM with Saturday/Sunday off*

Pay Rate:
$24.33 per hour with guaranteed pay increases every six months for the next five years up to $29.33 per hour, plus $1.00 to 1.50 shift differential if applicable
