Commuter Rail Office Specialist

Job Summary
Provides administrative and clerical support functions for Commuter Rail. Serves as initial point-of-contact to the department. Supports and assists with coordinating various programs and special projects.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Two years in an office setting providing administrative or clerical support to include experience in office coordination between departments and/or divisions.
- Must have a valid Utah Driver’s License, with no more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Cannot have more than 1 violation of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of Vehicle Maintenance Software Preferred
SKILLS
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems and operations at the intermediate level in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Pass basic Grammar test.
- Type 40 net words per minute.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform basic data analysis, trending and tracking data.
ABILITY TO:
- Communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, UTA managers, employees and vendors.
- Work independently and as a team member.
- Work under limited supervision.
- Manage time efficiently.
- Prioritize job assignments.
- Handle urgent and emergency requests as needed.

This job requires regular and predictable attendance.
