Description
Robert Half is searching for a IT Manager from a LAMP environment to fill a direct hire opportunity. This candidate will be responsible for the design and engineering of solutions that continue to meet and exceed the performance expectations as well as proactively monitor all systems and respond quickly to alerts (24x7x365) impacting performance or availability. This candidate should also have Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of training users in applications and operating system fundamentals and writing basic documentation. Qualifications:
<li>5+ years configuring, managing, and troubleshooting networking equipment (switches, firewalls, routers), storage appliances (NAS/SAN), and server hardware
<li>5+ years designing and building mission-critical redundant environments that span multiple data centers
<li>5+ years supporting business-critical infrastructure in a 24x7 environment
<li>3+ years with virtualization technologies, with advanced knowledge of high availability functionality (vmWare or similar); VCP or higher certification is a plus
<li>Significant experience building and supporting cloud-based (public, private, hybrid) environments
<li>Deep knowledge of Linux, FreeBSD, MySQL, Apache
