Senior Systems Engineer

<i><b>Robert Half <font color="#17C2A0">Technology</font></b></i> has partnered with a highly successful client in need of a Senior Systems Engineer on a consulting basis. We are looking for an experience and highly motivated individual with leadership experience. They will need at least 7-10 years of overall IT experience and available immediately.
Responsibilities include:
? Evaluate, design, deploy, and maintain highly available and reliable corporate IT infrastructure services.
? Evaluate, install, test, debug and support corporate enterprise applications programs. Must be able, with limited supervision, to design, plan, procure, install, configure and support a variety of systems and services as required in corporate IT environment (such as email, web, internet, telecommunications, file and printing services).
? Must be an excellent troubleshooter using experience, resources, initiative and tools to analyze and correct issues in an efficient and expedited manner whilst taking care not to disrupt other services and installations. Constantly seek to solve problems at the root level and automate processes where possible.
? Keep up to date with current infrastructure and operations trends and technologies and is able to advise on architecture, standards, and planning infrastructure future roadmaps.
? Must be able to proactively analyze and provide meaningful statistics on infrastructure system and operational metrics: current utilization of systems, storage utilization and capacity, CPU, RAM and overall load, uptime and efficiency of systems and networks.
? Create and maintains up to date and relevant documentation on all existing and new systems and configurations. Adheres to policies and procedures of Accuray Inc and also those of the IT Infrastructure team.
Skills and experience required:
? 7 to 10 years experience in corporate IT systems and network administration.
? 5+ years of experience in networking design and administration: routing, switching, VLANs, security, firewall, VPN. Experience with Cisco network and firewall equipment preferred.
? Extensive experience with Windows server administration and MS Enterprise applications: Exchange 2007 & 2010, OWA, MS SQL, SharePoint, Windows Clustering, MS Great Plains plus, MS CRM plus, MS AX plus.
? Experience with virtualized production environments: VMware ESX and Virtual Center.
? Experience with SAN: NetApp and EMC.
? Participate in large scale IT projects, Project leadership abilities and experience is plus. Ability to prioritize tasks and users, service orientation. Ability to manage himself and others.
? Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
? Strong analytical and problem solving abilities, Extensive experience applying industry best practices. Strong sense of customer service.
? CCNA, CCNP, MCSA and MCSE (one or more of the listed certifications).
? BS/BA Degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience.

<li>5-7 years experience in a Windows Server internetworking field and 2+ years supporting a high volume production environment.
<li>Microsoft and Citrix certifications preferred.
<li> Must have experience with migrations and implementations from Exchange 2003 - 2007
<li>Must have experience in MS Windows 2003 & 2008 Server, TCP/IP (must be familiar with the OSI model), VMWare ESX 4.1, backup solutions, MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008, MS Active Directory, MS Exchange 2007 and 2010, and VB or other relevant scripting languages for administrative use.
<li>Experience in Citrix Presentation Server and Storage area networking is strongly preferred.
<li>Thorough knowledge of data processing.
