Product Support Specialist
Description
Our East Bay client has an immediate opening for an Application Support Engineer. As a member of the technical team you will function as the initial point of contact for their customers, providing a point of advocacy while documenting following issues to resolution when they arise. As a member of this highly visible team you will respond to and log each customer inquiry, and then work with the internal team(s) as needed to address and resolve the issue accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
BS/BA degree or equivalent
5+ years experience in a customer-facing role, with 3+ years in a technical support environment supporting Enterprise environments and software applications
Software programming experience (C++, Cobol)
Working knowledge of Windows OS, UNIX, browsers and networking
Systems Administration and database knowledge highly desirable
Strong communication and English language skills both oral, written
Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to manage difficult customer situations successfully
Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
Ability to interact successfully with both technical and non-technical customers
Experience in Public Safety a plus
