Software Engineer II
Description
Our client is seeking a seasoned professional with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts to fill a Software Engineer II position. This individual creates vital documentation according to company standards regarding requirements, design, configuration, installation and maintenance. The successful candidate will have a general knowledge of related disciplines and experience in all stages of at least one SDLC. The Software Engineer II will develop large and complex modules and components of larger system designs and have the ability to code effectively on any component within an end to end system (db, middleware, front end). This level II position will perform code reviews on Level I and Level II staff modules and components and will have approval authority for Level I staff deliverables. The SWE II works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors so the ability to demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions is desired.
Job Duties/Requirements:
5+ Years with BS in Engineering or Related Field
3+ Years with MS in Engineering or Related Field
5+ years of professional experience in software analysis, development, engineering and support in a large corporate setting
2+ years experience mentoring and leading junior software engineers.
Experience with various full cycle software development methodologies, tools and practices.
Excellent knowledge on software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Excellent knowledge of n-tiered architecture
5+ years experience with multiple programming or scripting language (c#, Java, Ja vaScript, SQL)
5 + years experience writing/modifying programs for a mid to large size application
Excellent knowledge DB concepts
Good knowledge of Web Services
Knowledge of network concepts
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong working knowledge of .NET framework
Solid grasp of the SharePoint 2010 API
Ability to write Features, WebParts, and custom pages with code-behind and scripts (e.g. jQuery)
Hands on experience with Forms/Claims Authentication
Working knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL
Working knowledge of WCF and WF
Good understanding of design patterns
Build and deploy SharePoint packages
Knowledge of TFS
Proficient with Visual Studio
Ability to communicate complex technical information to less-technical users
Ability to prioritize job responsibilities
Demonstrated problem solving skills
