AIX Systems Administrator
Description
The ideal candidate would be a hands on, self-motivated, creative problem solver and have excellent verbal and written skills. Must be flexible in working on a variety of projects and technical support needs. Have a customer service frame of mind. Ability to work in a fast paced, growing environment with minimum supervision. The candidate must demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills due to the support demands of this position. The nature of this opportunity will require interaction with Management and Executive Staff. Periodic travel and after hours support will be required but limited to short trips for business travel and up to two week stays for training purposes. Must be able to work well with others and be a team player. Ability to demonstrate tact and sensitivity in customer communications while projecting a positive image. Must be able to handle and protect confidential information. Maintain and increase technical knowledge with standards.
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in Network and System Administration AIX
Deep understanding of any one ( in order of preference ) AIX, Open BSD, Linux, HPUX,
Solid BIND, Apache, Sendmail, MySQL
Solid understanding of networking, well beyond mere host configuration
