MYSQL DBA Manager
Description
Responsibilities:
* Manage DBAs in US and in Russia
* Design database architecture
* Install, maintain, and monitor production databases
* Investigate and resolve database related issues
* Optimize database performance
* Estimate database usage and analyze capacity trends
* Backup/restore and provide historical data if needed
* Generate reports as-needed
Required skills:
* Minimum 8 years hands-on database administration experience
* 5+ years MySQL experience
* 3+ years in a DBA manager role
* 3+ years SQL scripting experience
* 3+ years PERL scripting
* Ability to work well with other employees
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
* Bachelors degree
Desired skills:
* Database architecture design experience
* Nosql experience
* Columnar database experience
* Linux administration experience
* Experience in database development
* Experience in maintaining/administrating DBMS systems
* Experience with Java
* Experience with Data Warehouse solutions
