  • This is a Full-Time position
  • Location: Edison, NJ
  • Job Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Salary Range: $16.00-20.50/hr DOE

Position Summary
The Driver Helper is responsible to assist the Driver with the distribution of our meals and snacks to local schools. They fulfill all orders assigned and work as a team to unload products and ensure timely delivery. The
primary objective is to timely delivery of quality products and to maintain excellent customer relations. – if this is you, apply with us today!


Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Is a supportive Delivery team member, loads and unloads delivery trucks, maintains product organization and maintains food safety principles.
  • Maintains a high level of professional uniform standards and personal hygiene. Inspect fruits and snacks for quality and bring issues to the attention of the Driver or other manager.
  •  Works closely with the Delivery Driver to accompany them on route deliveries, loading and unloading products and meals.
  • Ensures customer orders against product deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality product.
  • Engages with school and other representatives when making deliveries, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and communication.
  • Maintains a positive disposition, conduct,s and present themselves in a respectful and polite manner at all times.
  • May assist with vehicle pre-check inspections before departing to deliver goods.
  • Spot checks product upon delivery and unloading to ensure product quality.
  • May pack and load products onto trucks, according to company specifications, and unload truck to meet customer/school program needs.
  • Adheres to proper food handling requirements and temperature checks of chilled products such as milk, dairy, vegetables, etc.
  • Maintains good communication with co-workers and other team members.
  • Manages the packing slips and delivery process, having customers sign for receipt of deliveries, noting any rejections or shorted products.
  • They are encouraged to be problem solvers and promote Revolution Foods Core values and mission.
  • Follows safe working practices loading and unloading. May use pallet jacks, dock plates, wheel chalks, track mileage, straps, handle pallets, and plastic wrap.
  • Keeps the truck interior and exterior organized, clean and sanitary throughout. Ensure proper care of equipment used to move or secure product inventory.
  • Follows all required safe work and food safety practices. This includes vehicle safety precautions and wearing required PPE in designated areas.
  • Corrects and/or reports any food safety and food quality-related issues to management immediately.
  • May assist kitchen staff with preparation and pack-out tasks as needed. Completes a variety of routine admin tasks associated with the work.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
  • On-site COVID-19 testing may be required on a periodic basis.  Revolution Foods employees staffed at partner sites that required such testing will be expected to comply with any such requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a food service environment, with customer contact.
  •  Experience working in a warehouse environment loading and unloading product.
  • Food Safety training or certifications are helpful.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Able to work an early morning flexible schedule and cover varied shifts.
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude and image.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter who can common routines timely.
  • Able to work as a team and individually to accomplish the work.
  • Knowledge of basic food handling requirements.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination may be required.

Physical Requirements Include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to stand frequently.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate wheeled carts and dollies loaded with product.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and perform hand and arm motions.
