Director of Information Technology

The Director of Information Technology will align IT initiatives with business goals by partnering with our Executive team to develop and evolve a technology vision and ensure that technology decisions benefit from a wide range of staff input, with IT security and infrastructure at its center. Provide profitable process and system improvement opportunities and assist with driving technology change across the organization.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to improve and maintain the integrity of security and infrastructure.
  • Proactively implement steps to ensure the company’s technology keeps pace with its rapid growth
  • Plan and manage complex projects that improve productivity and provide cost savings
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with appropriate executives and managers to ensure that proper information technology needs are met.
  • Create and manage the annual IT budget including personnel, SG&A, and capital expenditures
  • Build/maintain strategic relationships with key technology partners and suppliers to ensure that best in class service levels are met.
  • Coordinate activities with 3rd party solution providers, including but not limited to managed hosting, telecom providers, cloud applications, application support, help desk support and other vendor contracts
  • Integrate and optimize technology infrastructure monitoring capability to provide advance incident/event notification
  • Establish communications structure and manage expectations by providing leadership updates on special projects and help desk operations, including monitoring tickets/incidents and providing statistical analysis, leading to service optimization
  • Define and manage support practices related to overall user environment
  • Establish strong change management controls related to all production application updates and changes
  • Manage software and hardware standards
  • Assist with business case development for new and related projects and investments
  • Lead and sustain end user support practices, solutions, and related communications; ensure that users are fully trained in best practices and utilizing technology efficiently

Required Experience and Education:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business analytics, operating systems, security, and infrastructure management, with strong business process background
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology, or related fields is required.  MBA a plus
  • Vendor management experience in a partially outsourced environment
  • Broad system management background with infrastructure and application solutions to include Microsoft solutions
  • Consumer goods or technology background a plus
  • User support experience (desktop, connectivity, application level)
  • Experience with IT infrastructure service management and the disciplines associated with operating an IT infrastructure
  • Understands the business requirements associated with operating an IT infrastructure
  • Experience working with customers to explain their options for the selection of service management tools and the integration thereof
  • Experience working with IT infrastructure discovery tools
  • Listens to client/partner and can articulate to client management and account team what solutions would be valuable

Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

  • Strong knowledge of network architecture and design (routing, VPN, firewall, subnets, wireless), network and application security models, mobile services, and virtualization,
  • D365 knowledge and experience needed.  EATEC knowledge a plus
  • Understands the enterprise system management options for managing the communications infrastructure and managing the data center environment
  • Able to create and deliver formal presentations from a strategic or business perspective to senior level management or large groups
  • Integrity, credibility, and character with unquestionable ethical standards

  • Strong process and documentation skills
  • Able to review data to determine key trends, with strong recommendations A self-motivated individual with natural problem-solving capabilities and a positive mindset
