Assembly Team Member - 1st Shift / Mon - Fri 7:00pm - 3:30pm / $19.00 - $22.00 hour

PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES
The Assembly Team Member assembles, labels, and packs protective eyewear kits for the fulfillment of Customer Service orders.. 
 
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble specific protective eyewear products in accordance to the appropriate BOM.
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
  • Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
  • Notify supervisor of any material issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Ability to prepare and assemble units.
  • Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas as needed.
  • Place parts in a specified relationship to each other.
  • Clips, snaps or otherwise attaches parts together.
  • Works on a line where tasks vary as different models of product moves along line.
  • Conduct in-process inspection of lenses and other eyewear components for quality defects.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • Ability to build 5 different kits to the targeted cycle time
  • Pass defect identification test
Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements
  • Must be able to read and understand the production schedule.
  • Must be able to read a Bill of Material (BOM)
  • Performs repetitive line assembly operations to mass-produce eyewear products.
  • U.S. Government Authorization required.

  • Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects.

  • Employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally required to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific visions abilities are required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.
