Manufacturing Team Lead / Day Shift / Thur, Fri, Sat 6am-6:30pm and every other Wed 6am-2:30pm. $25.00-$30.00 hour plus 5% differential.

PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES
The purpose of this position is to oversee the routine aspects of the key process areas, delegate work assignments and measure hourly performance against targets. The Team Lead provides clear communication and direction regarding key performance indicators within each process area and acts in a timely manner when processes need correction based on performance metrics.
 
The objective of this position is to ensure daily production is safely and efficiently processed and provide guidance, coaching, mentoring, and remedial training for less-skilled employees.
 
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in driving team focus to achieve production targets and rates
  •  Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in the identification of training deficiencies. 
  • Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in planning for staffing the production/process areas. 
  • Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in the preparation of training materials and techniques to improve skills. 
  • Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in the evaluation of team members and their standard work. 
  • Assist Production Supervisor in managing inventory accurately through proper transactions and material movements. 
  • Provide peer support to team members as needed.
  • Ensure production documentation and data bases are timely, accurate and complete.
  • Participate in process improvement activities as needed. 
  • Ensure all lean tools are being used or maintained as part of the standard work in each process area. 
  • Work with maintenance personnel to ensure required Preventive maintenance is performed. 
  • Keep production areas neat and orderly, utilizing downtime effectively. 
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with team members and foster spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the plant.
  • Provide supervisory coverage and leadership in the absence of the Manufacturing Supervisor. 
Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in lead role working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and the related standard operating procedures preferred
  • Work in a fast paced ever changing environment
