Supply Chain Manager

PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is mission-critical and involves managing the complete supply chain lifecycle, from sourcing and purchasing raw materials to ensuring on-time delivery of finished products. The Supply Chain Manager will lead a team consisting of a Planner/Buyer, Master Scheduler, Sourcing Analyst, and Logistics Supervisor, and will be responsible for driving efficiency, cost reductions, and supply chain excellence across the organization.
 
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Manage all aspects of the supply chain, including sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, and logistics.
  • SIOP Process Ownership: Oversee the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to align demand, inventory levels, and production capacity with business objectives.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international vendors, ensuring optimal pricing, quality, and service levels.
  • Purchasing and Sourcing: Lead the procurement of raw materials and components, negotiating contracts to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
  • Inventory Strategy: Develop and implement inventory strategies, including cycle count systems, replenishment methods, and shipping terms to optimize stock levels and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Ensure supplier performance meets quality standards, collaborating with Quality team to maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
  • On-Time Delivery & Scheduling: Coordinate with the Master Scheduler to ensure timely production and delivery, addressing any scheduling issues proactively.
  • PPV and Cost Management: Track and manage Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and other supply chain costs to ensure alignment with budgetary targets and inventory turns.
  • Contract Negotiation: Coordinate with Sourcing Analyst to lead contract negotiations with suppliers and service providers to secure the best terms, including pricing, quality, delivery, and payment terms.
  • ERP System Management: Utilize ERP system capabilities to streamline supply chain activities.
  • Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement: Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve supply chain processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 10+ of experience in supply chain field.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience with supplier quality management.
  • Subject matter expert with ERP systems, with preference for Infor Syteline.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex domestic and international supply chains.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse team.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Military Experience a plus.
  • U.S. Government Authorization required.
