Associate Engineering Project Coordinator

Under the close supervision of the Sr. Manager of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, the Associate Engineering Project Coordinator is responsible for leadership and technical coordination of projects with low to medium complexity from initiation to delivery. They may also assist Project Manager in coordinating projects with higher levels of complexity to contribute to specific objectives and outcomes. The Associate Engineering Project Coordinator serves as the single point of contact for resources assigned to a project and serves as a liaison between engineering and non-engineering departments to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. They will help to create and drive schedules and interact with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, production, and facilities as required to work through any logistical challenges. The Associate Engineering Project Coordinator provides creativity, innovation, flexibility, and facilitation to meet all project goals by participating in project planning activity during pre-bid, proposal, negotiation and contract phases.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Organizes and coordinates with project team members to manage key milestones to promote efficient project progress
  • Timeline development and tracking
  • Create and maintain status reports of assigned activities
  • Maintains and performs follow up on meeting agendas and delegated action items
  • Maintain a succinct and organized electronic filing system of key documents
  • Schedule internal and external meetings
  • Track and manage project costs and budget
  • Escalates critical decisions based on objectives as required to reduce project delays
  • Promotes teamwork, cooperation, and commitment to meeting project goals and outcomes
  • May perform similar work as that assigned to other team members depending on experience
  • Will work under clearly defined guidelines

 Other Duties and Responsibilities.

This position will also help support the engineering department in other activities as required

  • Production Support
  • Document Control Support
  • SOP creation and training
  • Quality, manufacturing or process department support
  • May be expected to perform routine tasks as necessary

 Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics or related field
  • PMP Certification desired
  • 0-3+ years professional experience
