ZMG seeks a Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights to lead analytical and strategic initiatives that drive growth and efficiency for all ZMG brands. In this role, you will work directly with senior stakeholders and various cross-functional departments to successfully implement key initiatives. You will impact our business by analyzing complex data-sets and exploring new business opportunities. You will be directly managing a team of Junior and Senior Analysts.

This position will report to the Director, Business Analytics as part of the larger Operations organization. This individual will have the opportunity to help build out and scale a team that is responsible for ensuring we’re performing optimally.


  • This role is a blend of hands-on and executive level work -- to succeed you will need to enjoy rolling up your sleeves to dig into the data, leading a team and contributing to the overall business strategy
  • Manage small team of Analysts: prioritizing their work, providing guidance on analysis, and providing development opportunities
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using relational databases, Tableau and Excel to educate decision-makers at all levels of the business
  • Distill actionable insights from over 1PB of data to uncover new revenue opportunities and drive the product roadmap forward
  • Utilize an entrepreneurial mindset to support go to market initiatives with effective insights and market studies
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions, collaborate with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions
  • Support the leadership team in developing and delivering clear and impactful executive updates on business strategy and performance
  • Work with other strategy teams at ZMG to enhance cross department collaboration and shared learnings


  • 5+ years’ experience in a business intelligence, data analysis or business strategy role
  • 3+ years’ experience leading analytics, operational, product or other technical teams
  • Degree in statistics, economics, mathematics or similar quantitative discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems, pull data and extract insights that led to tangible results (revenue, seller launches, new product features, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL to write complete, optimized queries across large volumes of data, along with use of data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Metabase)
  • Comfortable speaking, writing, and presenting, as well as the ability to evangelize your findings. Summarize key insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working closely with senior management (VP level decision-makers) to understand the needs and direction of the business, and develop analytical solutions to drive the business forward.
