The role

With over 8 million members, VoucherCodes is one of the UK’s largest money saving websites. Partnered with big brands like ASOS, Nike, Argos, Expedia and Pizza Express, we receive over 8 million visits per month. Right now, we’re looking for a Social Media Manager to join our marketing team. At the moment, you will be joining a team who are all working from home, but we have a beautiful office in London eagerly awaiting our return. 

As our Social Media Manager, you’ll be focused on setting our social strategy to support business goals and managing all of our social media accounts across both our main brand, VoucherCodes, and our student platform, VC Students. 

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you’ll be working closely with our in-house marketing team to create and execute a solid social media strategy, reporting on channel performance to optimise campaigns and drive results. We’re looking for a self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude. 

We are working fully remotely at present, but anticipate our office reopening as soon as it is safe to do so! We haven’t let Covid stop us bringing in new talent to the team, so we know how to get you up and running quickly while working remotely. Don’t worry, you’re in safe hands. Once our office is open you will have flexibility to get that perfect work/life balance by working some days remotely if you wish.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Managing the day-to-day activity, social budget, and strategy implementation across our social media accounts
  • Working with the Director of Communications to develop and deliver a social media strategy to support business goals across all VoucherCodes’ social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram - for both VoucherCodes (our core brand) and VC Students (our student platform)
  • Working closely with our Partnerships team and the wider Marketing team to develop a social calendar that integrates with wider comms activities and supports retail partners in our top sectors – fashion, restaurants, travel, health & beauty, home & garden, technology and more
  • Reporting back to the business on social campaign results using insights, data and listening tools
  • Working closely with our internal design team to ensure content produced is on-brand in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
  • Nurturing and growing our on-site community of code submitters


You must have…

  • 4+ years experience in managing social media accounts for a company or brand, either in-house or at an agency
  • Proven experience in managing strategic content across a variety of social channels
  • Excellent writing skills and great attention to detail, with previous experience of copywriting 
  • Consistent drive to work to a high standard and to go above and beyond
  • Exceptional organisation and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload
  • An analytical mindset, with confidence analysing and reporting on data
  • Good commercial instincts and decision making skills
  • A creative and proactive approach to problem solving

  • Excellent project management skills to manage content schedules and your own workload
  • A degree is desirable, but we’re happy to be wowed if you think you’re suitable


It would be great if you have…

  • Photoshop/design skills
  • Video and post-production experience
  • Experience in an ecommerce environment
