Generalist Analyst (Live Stream)

Digital Threat Chicago, Illinois

Description

Position at Resolver

For global security teams, getting ahead of issues and incidents that threaten the safety and security of their people and assets has always been essential. But as the pressure mounts for organizations to take a stance on political, environmental, and social issues, GSOC faces physical threats from new oppositional actors and groups, as well as unprecedented volumes of digital chatter and new online spaces to monitor. Resolver offers organizations a scalable solution for monitoring these actors and groups in real-time, providing the early warning signals to help them prepare and react to potential threats.

The growth of Live Streaming is providing a range of new opportunities for creators to engage with audiences - it is also providing new ways for bad actors to organise, communicate, plan, generate income and recruit. Being able to identify incidents ahead of time, or as close to the point of incident as possible, is therefore an increasing need to help platforms get ahead of and respond to such activities.

The nature of security threats means we are looking for candidates who can clearly demonstrate an ability to make quick and sound assessments based on customer needs, producing high quality outputs under time pressures.

  • Research and track a range of events and bad actors to build up intelligence pictures, identifying potential focus points targets through a range of sources, including AI (Artificial Intelligence) Human Intelligence (HUMINT) and Open Source (OSINT)

  • Use static and dynamic analysis techniques to contribute to reporting and our internal knowledge base
  • Liaise and collaborate with colleagues to gather further information to piece together the wider picture
  • Utilising OSINT to locate social media coverage of events as they unfold
