What you’ll be doing:       
   
As a UX Research Assistant, you will play a vital role in understanding the needs and behaviors of our users. You will work closely with our Product team (UX, Platform, and Apps) to understand the challenges our users are experiencing in accomplishing their goals and how we can best support them.    
   
Research (40%)   
Measures of success: All user research projects have the information and supports needed to be successful. Quality, actionable insights are being delivered from research studies   
and contributing to our overall understanding of users and our roadmap.   
  • Assist in planning and executing user research studies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and field studies.
  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and synthesis of findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, and Design, to deliver quality research findings.
  • Present insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs.
  • Seek to understand the subject matter and problems we're solving for our users and explore multiple approaches to solving them.
  • Conduct literature reviews to inform new initiatives.
  
Documentation & Education (60%)   
Measures of success: Research is accessible across the organization, findings are routinely presented, support for research best practices across the organization.   
  • Draft information architecture models, storyboards, and document user flows.
  • Refine user models (e.g. personas, persona relationships, and journeys).
  • Present research insights and regularly engage with partners, such as design, product management, engineering, marketing, services, and sales.
  • Keep research organized and easily accessible to be used in future projects.
  • Share insights and learnings with team.
  • Act as a thought leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the people who use our product.
 Qualifications & Education   
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Digital Experience, UX Design, or a related field.
  • 1+ years experience in UX research and/or researching enterprise products.
  • A great portfolio demonstrating hands-on experience in UX research with examples of its influence on product development.
  • A passion for understanding user behavior and improving digital experiences.
  • Experience testing and validating design work.
  • Curiosity and empathy; asking questions to help understand nuanced and difficult problems.
  • Great attention to detail and well organized.
  • Experience using user-testing tools, including remote card-sorting, and interview recording.
  • An understanding of accessibility requirements.
