Role Summary 
 
You will be responsible for developing and delivering industry leading products which digitally and/or physically alter renewable assets to increase the value of the asset. 
 
You will have a proven track record of managing a diverse team of technical experts, and leading them through the creation, testing and productisation of advanced technical offerings such as control systems, robotics, power electronics equipment and hardware upgrades. You will also have a record of leading teams through the development of products which combine cutting edge technology and an engineering driven risk assessment approach to push the boundaries of what is possible. 
 
The ability to manage and grow a team in a remote-first multinational environment is essential. 
 
Key Accountabilities 
 
Leadership and Strategy: 
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary and diverse product orientated team focused on delivering industry leading products
  • Build, lead and inspire a team of a diverse set of technical experts, engineers, and PMs fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation and constant improvement
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional growth opportunities for team members
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to enhance individual and team performance
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with Technology/Engineering, Services, Product, Security, Innovation, Quality, Growth and Program Management teams to grow the product portfolio
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of customer needs, market dynamics and competitor products
Products Operations: 
  • Own the Controls and Hardware product roadmap, deliver to the roadmap, and ensure the roadmap yields an industry leading product portfolio
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Controls and Hardware Products department, ensuring safety, engineering quality, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work with R&D to transition new technologies to site trials and product offerings
  • Work with other areas of Product to identify areas where altering an asset can yield additional value
  • Work with the Services teams to ensure products can be delivered at scale and land in the hands of organisation that can fully utilize them
  • Manage both internal and external resources to deliver on contracts
  • Create relationships with suppliers and negotiate agreements that enable products
Budget Management: 
  • Develop and manage the Controls and Hardware Product division budget, ensuring budget targets are met while delivering on goals
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance metrics to make data-driven decisions on product investment
  • Work with the sales team to meet P&L goals of product sales
Knowledge, Skills, Experience 
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in product development and product management in digital and physical systems deployed in real-time or operational environments
  • Track record of delivering innovative products safely and with commercial success
  • Strong ability to utilize engineering judgement when pushing the limits of the possible
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making

  • Knowledge of renewable technologies, in particular wind turbines, a plus
