Summary:  
The Craft – Cable Splicer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing Civil/Electrical duties at the project site.

Requirements:    
•    Assists with terminations, t-bodies, inline splices, URD, and metal shields.
•    Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.
•    Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
•    Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
•    Follows drawings to determine the location of wiring and equipment and ensures compliance to building and safety codes.
•    Uses a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.
•    Installs ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.

Client relationship management accountabilities:
•    Conforms to specifications of the project, in-line with the client’s expectations.

Contract:
•    Reports variances for Change orders.
•    Follows appropriate usage of project related materials and equipment.
•    Reports and documents variances of work, production, and deliverables to supervisor.

Performance:
•    Complies with operating procedures.
•    Reports productivity daily.

Leadership:
•    Understands and follows established processes through quality checks.
•    Follows processes for systems and communication lines on site to ensure implementation is consistent.
•    Communicates variances to supervisor.
•    Supports a culture of continuous improvement.
•    Utilizes Safety Management Systems (SMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and technical procedures.
•    Supports a positive and engaging work environment by:
o    Adhering to department and company objectives.
o    Supports employee development and growth.
o    Discuses feedback on performance with supervisor.

QA/QC:
•    Ensures quality control program processes are followed according to the plan and are consistent.

Environment:
•    Ensures the required documentation is submitted for monitoring and maintaining the EMS.
•    Ensures permitting is complete before commencement of work.
•    Ensures training is complete to comply with EMS requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Presents, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

Safety:
•    Ensures that safety is the most important function and follows safe practices while working.
•    Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors.
•    Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) occurs before scopes of work commence.
•    Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.
•    Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.
•    Follows technical, quality, and safety systems in place and determines appropriate action.
•    Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
•    Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
•    Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.

Qualifications: 
•    High School Diploma/GED required.
•    1 or more years of HV/MV/LV cable installation and terminations experience required.
•    Ability to travel domestically 76-100% required.
•    Knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
•    Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
•    Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments and prioritize, as required.
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•    Ability to operate vehicles and equipment associated with the electrical trade.
•    Functional competencies include attention to detail, communication, casting the right shadow, accountability, and ethics and integrity. 

Anticipated base range:  $19.00 - $23.00

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.  

Per Diem of $100.00 daily to cover lodging, meals and travel during rotation.

Occasionally exposed to extreme cold and wet environments in the working environment.
Frequently exposed to extreme heat, humidity, noise, hazards and vibration in the working environment.
