As RES in Türkiye, RES Anatolia, we have been developing wind and solar projects since 2009. RES is now bringing its broad experience on Asset Management abroad to Türkiye for Turkish wind energy investors. Technical Performance Engineers provide data analysis expertise to the Asset Management team, with the aim of maximising generation and profit for the asset owners and RES by ensuring the efficient operation of power plants owned by our clients. You will be analysing operational data, proposing methods for reducing lost production and identifying performance improvement opportunities, as well as developing the way we carry out this service by improving our analysis techniques. This role involves a heavy communication level with Global Analyse and Optimization team members and shall be a highly visible role in RES.
Assignments:
- Analyze operational data of wind farms, identify technical performance issues and risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide general technical support to operational wind farm management teams
- Build, manage and improve engineering models to analyze data in order to accurately report on performance and detect changes in behavior of the operating assets
- Liaise with in-house and external consultants
- Continually assess the value of analyses and recommended actions
- Research, evaluate and recommend methods to improve performance of generating plant
Requested skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Computer, Electrical, Electronical or Mechanical); master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in data analyzing preferably on operational data and performance optimization of wind turbines
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Experience in data analytics
- Experience in, or detailed knowledge of, renewable energy project design and component functionality
- Ability to identify technical performance issues and risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigative nature– naturally inquisitive, proactive, solution focused and has sense of ownership on work
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Preferably programming knowledge in Python
- Ability to handle several projects and high workloads with demanding timescales
- Familiarity working as a part of international teams, influencing decisions and reacting positively to challenges.
- Strong reporting and presentation skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages
