Summary:
The Procurement Associate position is a member of the center-led Procurement Team, aiming to achieve competitive advantage by applying best practices in supply management and driving overall business profitability. The Procurement Associate will collaborate with construction project teams, engineering, estimating, legal, insurance, and other groups to procure subcontractors, services, materials, and equipment to support Solar, Wind, RES Substation, Transmission, Distribution, and BESS projects.
Requirements:
- Prepares, issues, and reviews RFP packages.
- Negotiates price, schedule, scopes, and terms favorable to RES.
- Participates and provides Supplier recommendations for Award to project teams.
- Reviews requests for accuracy and ensures alignment with schedule and current market trends (price, scope, lead time).
- Assembles and issues various Subcontracts, Agreements, and Purchase Orders to include proper project flow-downs and scope-specific requirements.
- Enters Subcontracts, Agreements, and Purchase Orders into the ERP System upon execution.
- Provides regular cadence updates to the project teams and internal stakeholders.
- Sources, evaluates, and maintains Supplier relationships.
- Assists project teams in planning and purchasing Goods and Services.
- Leverages opportunities to consolidate Purchases across the business.
- Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
- Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
- Partners with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) group to evaluate subcontractors, implement safe practices, and mitigate safety risks.
- Participates in required training and follows safety management system (SMS), quality
- management system (QMS), and environmental management system (EMS) procedures.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, engineering, suppl chain management, or equivalent degree, or 2+ years of military/education/relevant work/field experience combination required.
- Ability to travel domestically 5 to 15% required.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Strong skills related to attention to detail and accuracy in written documentation.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize project workload.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizing capabilities.
- Good communicator (written and verbal) and able to build strong, effective relationships with
- team members.
- High level of competency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Good attitude and positive outlook with a desire to grow in the role.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.
Highly desirable
- ISM or CIPS certification.
- Knowledge of contracts and subcontracts.
- Knowledge of substation and transmission material.
- Knowledge of renewable energy construction equipment and material.
- Knowledge of Sage, Business World, ISN, and Procore.
- Knowledge of the construction industry, associated field concepts, practices, and procedures, with knowledge of the renewable industry.
- Functional competencies include attention to detail, customer focus, prioritization, collaboration, and self-knowledge & self-learning.
Anticipated base salary range: $55,000 - $65,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
