About the Role:

 
We are seeking a Development Project Manager to work within our Joint Venture team. This role will work within the wider development team at RES and would be responsible the end-to-end development of large-scale solar wind and/or battery storage projects.



 
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Be an exemplary role model to encourage the avoidance of risk-taking behaviours across the business and provide the personal commitment never to “risk it” and “speak up”.  And work in accordance with RES Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment procedures and relevant EH&S legislation.
  • Utilise best project management practices with RES tools and processes to manage tasks, milestones, priorities, and the project budget and programme.
  • Handle project changes and risks to minimise negative impacts while leveraging opportunities throughout the project lifecycle, considering construction and operation phases.
  • Maintain project files and records for due diligence and ensure commercial viability and optimisations to improve economic models.
  • Build strong relationships with JV partners, client teams, and external stakeholders for successful project outcomes, employing innovative community engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams, including development, engineering, technical, grid, procurement, commercial, legal, financial, and land teams, to secure land agreements and deliver project outcomes.
  • Prepare planning applications and conduct environmental impact assessments.


Skills & Experience 
  • Preferred knowledge or experience in the renewables industry or large infrastructure project development, including the full life cycle development process of renewable energy projects.
  • Expertise in planning, environmental impact assessment requirements, and property agreements for renewable energy projects.
  • Proficient in community liaison, stakeholder management, and handling complex and challenging relationships.
  • Capable of creating and managing programmes and budgets, with an understanding of commercial drivers impacting project economics.
  • Skilled in resource management, organisational tasks, and follow-through on delivery.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Project and Office.
  • Essential project management and stakeholder management experience, with preferred experience in joint ventures and client delivery.
  • Degree qualified or relevant work experience, with PMP, AIPM, or similar certifications.
  • Business-level English proficiency, ability to travel throughout Australia, and a current Australian driver's licence.
