Summary: 
The Sr. IT Business Analyst manages business cases, requirements, and test plans to deliver IT technology solutions. In addition, the Sr. IT Business Analyst will be a subject matter expert in their field and will participate in strategic planning, business process improvement, and complex projects, including but not limited to managing requirements through to user acceptance, data collection, analysis, and other responsibilities depending on the initiative.
This Americas IT function forms part of the broader Global Services function and will work closely with regional, global IT resources and business stakeholders to support project delivery. The Sr. IT Business Analyst will model the best customer service and leadership behaviors for the team while ensuring the overall success and business value of technology solutions.
 
This role will be hybrid requiring a minimum of 3 days in office.
 
Requirements:   
  • Serves as a point of contact for IT Demand Management, facilitating IT project Intake through project feasibility.
  • Works with business owners and sponsors to document business cases and distill them into project charters with key stakeholders' buy-in.
  • Obtains a complete understanding of relevant business area(s) to recommend strategic solutions and build high-quality requirements. 
  • Works with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements. Advises and recommends appropriate prioritization based on business and technical context.
  • Uses various techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards. Researches and applies new and Innovative techniques as appropriate.
  • Translates conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed business, stakeholder, non-functional, functional, and operational requirements.
  • Shapes business requirements by making innovative recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed enterprise-wide solutions. 
  • Anticipates and understands technical options, limitations, costs, and risks. Proactively navigates tradeoffs to business partners and works with them to shape requirements accordingly. 
  • Helps resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalating issues where appropriate, ensuring alignment between business strategies.
  • Manages requirements and scoping throughout the delivery process. 
  • Creates artifacts as appropriate, including business cases, charters, scope and requirements documentation, process flows, scripted test plans, technical option analysis, and context diagrams.
  • Supports delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions. 
  • Participates and leads in functional and user acceptance testing to ensure the overall fit and quality of the solution.
  • Exercises independent judgment as needed to support the overall delivery of the project when project leadership is unavailable.
  • Reviews delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; defines and executes test cases. 
  • Documents current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps. 
  • Identifies, recommends, and prioritizes opportunities to streamline business processes. 
  • Promotes a collaborative team environment and provides mentorship to junior-level analysts. 
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Presents, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Works with IT and Business stakeholders to identify opportunities to refine and evolve IT Project Management and Business Analysis processes and procedures.
  • Contributes to data migration and mapping activities as needed.
  • Gathers and documents technical options analysis as needed.
  • Documents as-is business processes and flows not directly related to active IT projects.
  • Provides subject matter expertise based on work experience.
  • Research, document, and communicate the overall company position in the market in both IT and business contexts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.
  • Business Analysis certification (e.g, CBAP) preferred.
  • 3 or more years' experience in business analysis required.
  • Experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly learn new business areas' objectives, structures, operations, and policies.
  • Proven problem-resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage delivery teams and business stakeholders to achieve target outcomes.
  • Proven business acumen and the ability to deliver technical solutions that support business value.
  • Public speaking and facilitation skills.
  • Able to engage with executive stakeholders.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence program/project leadership and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  • Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation or business requirements summaries.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Functional competencies include attention to detail, accountability, communication, business acumen, and teamwork.
Anticipated base salary range:  $72,000 - $90,000
 
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
