Summary: 

An Intern will typically support one or more experienced Field Engineers in the performance of their assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of Field Engineering. Internships are 10 weeks in length, tentatively scheduled to start May 27, 2026. There are currently project locations across the country and interns should be ready to relocate to any of our project sites for the duration of the internship.

 

Requirements:   

  • Assists with verification that all field installations are per engineered IFC drawings.
  • Assists with maintenance and updates to project documentation, as needed, utilizing SharePoint, Procore, or Client systems.
  • Assists in the update and tracking of project specific tracking tools, including but not limited to Procurement, Request for Information (RFI), Safe Work Instructions (SWI), Submittal Logs, Plan of Day (POD), and Material Tracking.
  • Assists team in resolution of field-level technical issues.
  • Attends project meetings, takes minutes and distributes to Project Management Team for review and distribution to full project team, including Client as required.
  • Professionally communicates to strengthen and continually maintain Client relationships.
  • Supports continuous improvement at project and corporate level through feedback.
  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Collaborate effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Operates company assigned vehicle in a safe manner in all types of road and weather conditions.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.

 

Safety:

  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.  Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
  • Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working.
  • Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
  • Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence.
  • Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.
  • Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.
  • Follows technical, quality and safety systems in place and determines appropriate action.
  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.  Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

 

Qualifications:

  • You must be working toward a BS or MS degree in Construction Management or Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • No work experience required, although construction experience is helpful.
  • You must have a valid driver’s license.
  • You must be 18 years of age by the start of the internship assignment.
  • You must be eligible to work in the United States with no visa sponsorship.
  • You must complete an internship at any one of our project locations in the United States. This often requires relocating out of state for the duration of the internship.
  • Ability to adopt and navigate new software systems to support project needs.
  • Functional competencies include Attention to Detail, Communication, Drive, Prioritization and Teamwork.

 

 

Anticipated base salary range:  $20/hour - $23/hour

Premium Daily Per Diem paid for food and lodging

 

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
