This role can be based in the UK, Spain or Copenhagen.
 
The Position
The newly created Digital Solutions team is blazing a trail to reimagine the renewable energy space by delivering new and innovative solutions that are built on a solid foundation of data and analytics.  Our clients will be able to optimise their assets, drive efficiency and gather new insights with their ability to confidently make data driven decisions.
Once a contract to deploy the products on a project is signed, the Product Delivery team will then be responsible to manage the implementation of the hardware on the project.
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Product Delivery, you will have responsibility for managing the implementation of contracted products on existing renewable energy projects. This will include managing internal and external resources to effectively cost, resource, and deliver each of the contracts.
You will have responsibility for numerous projects that may be in different stages of their life cycle and may be across different products.
 
Key Accountabilities
The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful deployment of enhancements to project sites, during which they will:
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and within the company ethos of “Don’t Risk It”.
  • Manage a pipeline of project work through all stages, including quotation, approval, scheduling, planning, execution, technical completion, invoicing, and warranty claims.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, plant operations personnel, and regulatory agencies.
  • Developing relationships with a selection of quality sub-contractors over various regions, managing their site works and providing timely feedback.
  • Liaise with 3rd parties e.g. equipment suppliers, service providers or project partners, draft and review contracts, with the support of our commercial, legal and procurement teams.
  • Oversee the procurement, logistics, and installation of hardware.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve problems proactively.
  • Develop a consolidated ongoing Project Plan to identify the resources, materials, plant, procedures, costs, and timeframes.
  • Execute the Project Plan in accordance with manufacturer’s and warranty requirements, contract terms, RES quality systems, HSQE standards and good industry practice.
  • Accountability for the safety, profitability, quality and warranty claims in relation to the Project Plan.
  • Delivery of the approved Project Plan
  • Award sub-contracts
  • Manage sub-contracted works in accordance with the timescales and budget in the approved Project Plan
  • Monitor project progress, identify, and resolve problems proactively.
  • Identify risks and opportunities throughout the project and put measures in place to address them. Manage issues as they arise.
  • Provide regular status updates to Asset Manager and owner, and forecasting time and cost to completion.
  • Keep up to date project delivery metrics to track project progress and profitability.
  • Ensure appropriate installation and commissioning documentation is produced,
  • Support the continuous improvement of the deployment processes.
  • Provide product feedback to Product Development.
  • Manage project scope creep and ensure all changes are documented and approved.
  • Finalise programme of works
Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI framework).

  • Knowledge of how wind and solar farms operate desirable.

Experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Managing hardware and/or boots on the ground based projects.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects at once.
  • Experience in supervising contractors
  • Experience in a related field within the renewable energy sector, such as engineering or construction is a plus.
  • Experience of working remotely without close supervision
Qualifications
  • Experience in a related field, such as engineering, construction, or manufacturing, is a plus.
  • Project Management qualifications (PMP, Prince2, PMQ, etc) is a plus.
