About the Role:

 
We are seeking a Construction Project Engineer working within the construction team. This role will provide support and expertise to the Construction Management team and supervise the on site EPC contractors, monitoring their performance and achievement of standards for projects.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Work within the project delivery team in all areas relating to engineering design and construction suitability.
  • Responsible for delivery site engineering assessments such as topographical surveys, geotechnical assessments, construction feasibility, infrastructure design, access assessments, drainage and compliance to approved design and quality requirements.
  • Specifying and managing works of external contractors carrying out site surveys, geotechnical assessments and installation of meteorological monitoring masts on site, in line with RES processes and HSEQ requirements.
  • Assist the Construction Project Manager/s in weekly and monthly reporting on project construction status, risks, programme delivery, cost management and HSEQ.
  • Take control of packages of works, manage contractors, undertake assessments under the direction of the Lead Project Engineer.
  • Managing external designers and liaising with the project delivery teams to ensure effective co-ordination of engineering disciplines.
  • Add value and reduce costs (DEVEX, CAPEX and OPEX) for projects wherever possible through efficient working, careful scoping, procurement and innovative engineering and design solutions.


Skills & Experience:
 
  • Relevant post graduate experience of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of wind and/or solar farm construction methodology.
  • Ability to manage interfaces, risks and stakeholder needs.
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian engineering design, health, safety & environmental regulations relating to construction of renewable energy projects.
  • Good understanding of consultancy contracts or agreements and the management thereof.
  • A degree in Engineering
