Summary: 
The GIS Analyst I will provide support in cartography, data manipulation, geographic information analysis, and database management for wind, solar, transmission, and energy storage project development.
 
This role will be hybrid requiring a minimum of 3 days in office.
 
Requirements:   
  • Creates maps and data visualization products using GIS or related software to support project development, engineering, and construction.
  • Interfaces with project teams to define data needs, project requirements & requested deliverables.
  • Manages and maintains existing project development geodatabases for wind, solar, and projects.
  • Creates web maps, applications, forms, etc. to be published within a web-based GIS, supporting development and construction operations.
  • Processes and stages large datasets for use in tools, APIs, and cartographic workflows.
  • Prepares and manages metadata and log workflows.
  • Creates tools and automation processes using ArcGIS Model Builder and/or Python.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
 Additional Responsibilities:
  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Maintains standardization in naming, content, and cartographic symbols across a large number of maps and datasets.
  • Integrates and analyzes data from various sources, including DEM and LiDAR data, CAD drawings, web GIS services, and external APIs.
  • Interfaces with day-to-day GIS users as a GIS “help desk,” assisting desktop and web GIS users with questions and issues.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in geographic information systems, cartographic science, or computer science required.
  • 3 or more years' experience in geographic information systems or cartographic science required.
  • Ability to travel domestically 5 to 15% required.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
  • Functional competencies include attention to detail, accountability, learning on the fly, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Anticipated base salary range:  $62,000 - $78,000
 
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
