Position overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent Scientist to join our growing Cell Therapy Analytical Development team.  As part of the Analytical Development team, you will contribute to the advancement of Repertoire’s DEPLOY platform: multi-antigen, cytokine-enhanced T Cell Therapies.  The DEPLOY platform is a novel class of adoptive T cell therapy comprising endogenous multi-antigen T cells and engineered immune modulators.  This is an opportunity to develop, optimize and execute methods that characterize highly complex, multi-clonal T cells in a product development setting with aspects of immune-oncology, protein biologics and cell therapy.  This role will help our teams drive process and product characterization, ultimately enabling us to reproducibly release safe, efficacious Drug Product for use in clinical trials that improve patient lives.  The successful candidate will be comfortable using canonical immune-oncology tools like flow cytometry (immunophenotyping and ICS), cytokine analysis, ELISA, sequencing and cell-based (functional) assays to characterize highly heterogenous samples and generate actionable data.  This lab-based role will operate in a highly matrixed environment, in close collaboration with immunologists, quality control professionals, bioengineers, translational scientists, and process engineers to advance method development, Drug Substance/Drug Product characterization and formulation/process development workstreams.  Primary responsibilities include experimental design and execution, data analysis, documentation, and verbal and written communication of results to the team, management, and external partners.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with complex experimental design and execution with a high level of scientific rigor both independently and in team settings.  They will have expertise in multiple complex immunological methods such as multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, Luminex, ELISpot and functional in vitro assays.  They will be able to identify gaps in method/assay understanding and devise tools/approaches to close those gaps.  They will have a self-starting attitude and the ability to focus and execute in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.  Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in our ultra-collaborative work environment.  There is significant opportunity for career growth and continuous learning in the highly collaborative Repertoire work environment.



  • Perform routine analytical testing and optimize methods and data analysis approaches to support ongoing process development and discovery research workstreams
  • Collaborate with Repertoire’s Discovery and Product Characterization groups to optimize next-generation analytical assays that improve Repertoire’s understanding of dendritic cells and antigen-reactive T cells
  • Collaborate with Repertoire Quality Control to develop methods for implementation in QC laboratories for in-process and release testing of cell therapy drug products for clinical use
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new techniques and instrumentation to improve process, product, and formulation characterization
  • Assist with method transfers to external CDMOs and across Repertoire teams



  • D. in a relevant scientific discipline (Bioengineering, Cell Biology/Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, etc.) with 0-5 years relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise with immunological techniques such as multi-color flow cytometry (both surface immunophenotyping and intracellular staining), cell-based assays, multi-well plate assays, Luminex, and qPCR and/or other sequencing techniques.
  • Significant experience with in vitro characterization of immune cell types, preferably with a focus on T cells
  • Significant experience with functional assays (i.e., ELISpot, cytokine secretion) is highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute complex characterization assays
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot and solve issues associated with analytical methods.
  • Experience working with cell-based therapies in an industry setting is highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and record-keeping
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
