Research Associate / Senior Research Associate, Discovery Immunology

Research & Development Cambridge, Massachusetts

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate/ Sr. RA to join the Oncology group within the Discovery Immunology team. Using the DECODETM platform, we are able to analyze how TCRs recognize their respective and unique antigens. Rather than relying on predictive epitopes, we use experimental systems to find real epitopes that bind to TCRs, critical to development of robust Repertoire Immune Medicines’ therapeutics. As a member of our team, the candidate will analyze primary patient samples for cell isolation, culturing and analysis utilizing various immunology-based assays as part of the DECODETM platform, from early discovery to support of clinical studies.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track-record of developing novel immunology-based assays for solving complex biological problems, as well as a broad understanding of therapeutic drug discovery and its applications in Immuno-Oncology. The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be independently driven while also thriving in a truly multi-disciplinary environment. This position will interact closely with numerous team members within  Protein Sciences, Molecular Biology and Computational Biology to help identify and prioritize therapeutic targets for clinical development.

The successful candidate will have the ability to independently design experiments, analyze complex data and troubleshoot technical issues. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills will enable them to integrate with our highly cross functional teams. Experimental rigor and scientific curiosity are key! The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities is a must. Salary and title will be commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute towards efforts in prioritizing and validating T cell targets for Repertoire’s Immuno-oncology program in collaboration with multiple other teams.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of functional immunological and analytical methods to characterize the response of the T cell product to cancer specific antigens, such as multi-color flow cytometry and sorting and MHC/peptide tetramer analysis
